3 pupils die after school building collapses
Preliminary police investigations indicate that heavy rain caused the collapse of the school building.
Golden Heart Junior Nursery and Primary School, located in Buwesa village, Busabi Sub County, in Butaleja District, is in tears after a school block wall collapsed and killed three pupils and injured others.
According to Moses Mugwe, the spokesperson for the Bukedi South Regional Police, one pupil died on the spot while the two died upon arrival at Busolwe General Hospital.
Mugwe also revealed that the school director, Bonny Owor, has been arrested and charged with criminal negligence.
