7 years later, Bobi Wine graduates with a Law Degree

His graduation was delayed initially due to missing a few lectures in one course unit, but he expressed gratitude to the lecturers who held him to a high standard.

Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, better known as Bobi Wine, has finally graduated with a law degree from Cavendish University, despite attempts by regime detractors to block his academic success.

In a recent statement, Bobi Wine revealed that individuals aligned with the regime petitioned the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) to scrutinize his academic records.

“When news came out that I was set to graduate, the usual detractors got busy and made every effort to stop me,” he shared. The NCHE conducted a thorough investigation, demanding all documents related to his studies, including application forms, class attendance records, written exams, coursework, and tuition payments.

After a detailed review, Bobi Wine was cleared to graduate. Reflecting on the ordeal, he expressed relief, stating, “I don’t know if any other Ugandan student has been subjected to this before.”

His graduation was delayed initially due to missing a few lectures in one course unit, but he expressed gratitude to the lecturers who held him to a high standard. “To the lecturers that made it hard, and eventually impossible for me to graduate last year, well, you helped me get everything in place for a legit qualification,” he acknowledged.

Bobi Wine also addressed those who had mocked his academic qualifications, thanking them for motivating him to pursue further education. He dedicated his achievement to his late mother, Maama, expressing pride in knowing she would be proud of his accomplishment.

His supporters have celebrated this milestone, viewing it as a testament to perseverance and the belief that it’s never too late to pursue one’s dreams. Bobi Wine’s journey from musician to law graduate and political leader continues to inspire many.
