Museveni’s advisor John Nagenda passes away
Nagenda, born in 1938, will be remember for his love for sports especially cricket, being loyal to Museveni and being a good writer.
The Minister in charge of the Presidency, Milly Babalanda, has this Saturday evening announced the passing of President Yoweri Museveni advisor on media matters, John Nagenda.
“I regret to announce the passing on of Senior Presidential Advisor on Media Matters, Mzee John Nagenda, who has passed on at Medipal in Kampala,” Babalanda said in a brief announcement shared on social media.

Balabanda said Nagenda was a ‘unique, principled and knowledgeable’ person whose services will be dearly missed.
Nagenda, a prolific writer, has been a long-serving columnist with New Vision, the government-owned daily newspaper, the biggest in the country.
In an interview published by the New Vision in 2020, it was revealed that Nagenda, who was born in Rwanda to Ugandan parents on April 25, 1938, had worked for Museveni for over two decades as a public relation advisor.
