Govt starves Karamojong youths in Gulu prison
The youths were arrested in connection with cattle raids and transported to different government prisons in Acholi.

The Woman Member of Parliament representing Napak district, Nakut Faith Loru Chuna, has shared gruesome pictures of ‘malnourished’ youth who she alleged had been freed from Gulu Remand Home, a government prison.
Nakut said the released youths were arrested last year in Kotido.
It is said that the youths were transferred to Gulu after prisons in Karamoja sub-region were full and they couldn’t be accommodated there.

NBS Television reported Wednesday that over 400 youths arrested from Karamoja and detained in Acholi prisons had allegedly been starving.
