Archbishop Kazimba Mugalu decries scarcity of virgins in Uganda

The Archbishop Church of Uganda, His Grace Dr. Stephen Kazimba Mugalu has decried the limited number of virgin ladies in Uganda, saying that on the many occasions he has urged people to keep their virginity, he has been labeled backward.

He made the remarks during the celebrations of the Parliamentary Christmas Carols by the Anglican Church, noting that it is God’s power to cause a virgin woman to become pregnant, without having sex which people love so much.

“That is God that is how powerful He is, He can cause a virgin woman to become pregnant without that thing (sex) which you people love so much. The confusion is why some people say, how can God have a child without it (sex)? No, He is God, He can do the impossible. It isn’t easy to find virgin ladies these days. I am talking about people outside there (outside Parliament). Actually, when you promote virginity, some people say that is backwardness,” said Kazimba.

Dr Mugalu advised women to pray for their man who go astray because prayer works. He said they should pray for their men when they go to sleep outside marriage, so that they don’t HIV/AIDs.

However, to save them, they should pray to God to create a running stomach, so that when their husbands come back on the bed, they get running stomachs so that they go outside again.

“And for you people who are married, if you see your wife or husband go astray, you just pray for that person, create peace for yourself, you can’t handle everything; you will die prematurely because you want to sort everything out. You do what you can and leave the rest to God,” noted Kazimba.

Meanwhile the Archbishop urged MPs and other men in Uganda to emulate the calmness exhibited by Joseph, by not conducting DNA tests on children whose parentage is in doubt, but instead embrace these children like it was the case with Jesus, in order to ensure peace and harmony in homes.

“But I also praise this man called Joseph, the man got a message that your wife is pregnant, really! How in the world can someone take a woman who is pregnant? But this man, he was a man of God. And that is why, I want to encourage the men, especially MPs, sometimes you aren’t at home, something can happen and a child is born. So now, let me encourage you to be like Joseph, don’t go for DNA, just be calm. No DNA, that is how calm the man was,” he remarked.

On the other hand, the Deputy Speaker of parliament Thomas Tayebwa applauded parliament for passing into law the Anti-Homosexuality Act, which he said is one of the greatest things the 11th Parliament did in 2023

Tayebwa said many people called to express their appreciation, something that rarely happens.

“This House isn’t very easy your Grace, it is very difficult to make a decision here and you receive a call to say thank you. And that is why this year has really been great for us, at least there is one decision we made and we received a call to say thank you. And that is passing the Anti-Homosexuality Act. Someone else would say, what else would you have done, that is what you are supposed to do. But when you fail, they roast you,” he said.
