Avoid violence, corruption & tribalism in 2024, Pastor Senyonga urges Ugandans ahead of New Year’s eve prayers
No single Ugandan should be lazy and unemployed on the basis of blaming the weather, government and witchcraft, he said.
Pastor Jackson Senyonga of Christian Life Church in Makerere – Kavule has asked Ugandans to avoid violence, corruption, divisionism of tribes and other different vices that are ‘eating away the country’ and holding Uganda backward.
In the same spirit, the Pastor said God is calling Ugandans to be productive in 2024, and produce fruits. No single Ugandan should be lazy and unemployed on the basis of blaming the weather, government and witchcraft, he said.
“No, go find a job in 2024 because God wants you to bear fruits. You should bear fruits for your children at your employment and have huge deliverables in any sector,” he added. He emphasized that 2024 is a year of work and being fruitful.
The Pastor made the remarks at a Press Conference held at the Church where he unveiled the prayer program for the 31st December National Celebrations prayers. The prayers program starts at 6am on 31st December 2023 and ends 7am on 1st January 2024 at Christian Life Church in Makerere – Kavule.
Pastor Senyonga will led a team of local and international preachers, gospel musicians and an electrifying fireworks display. He said the theme for 2024 is from Isiah 37: 33 which he paraphrased as “The remnant shall again take root downward, bearing fruit upward.”
Pastor Senyonga said ‘the best way to start the New Year is by presenting and dedicating yourself and your issues to God. Ask God for the blessings and a way forward for a better year.’
He emphasized that through prayers, creativity and innovation 2024 is going to be a year of solidifying the believers with full of fruitfulness, productivity and increase.
“Through the prayers we are going to have here on 31st December, God will help those who will congregate and give them fruitfulness, productivity, increased incomes, creativity and innovation to go to another level and break the backbone of poverty in their lives,” Pastor Senyonga explained.
