Besigye responds to Muhoozi: you cannot break us because we are united to stop your gun rule
Despite Bobi Wine not joining Besigye’s FDC, the two remain personal friends and political allies. Perhaps, by praising Besigye and ridiculing Bobi Wine, Muhoozi wanted to antagonize the two friends who are his enemies.
Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) president, Rtd Col Dr Kizza Besigye, has responded to a tweet in which First Son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, praised him and ridiculed Bobi Wine as unworthy.
Besigye said the glossy tweet in which Muhoozi calls him an ‘elder’ from whom he “can learn a few things” is an obvious intention to attract the attention of people who ignore him.
Personally, I like @kizzabesigye1. He is an elder and we can learn a few things from him. But Kabobi? Hapana! pic.twitter.com/PUXKoMIExV

Besigye explained in the tweet Muhoozi sent out Tuesday night, he is trying ‘to cause people to think of each other in ways they are not.’
“Bottom line is, we’re united to end gun rule & have transition to people-rule. Transition not succession,” Besigye concluded the tweet.
Muhoozi rarely directly comments on matters of Besigye and FDC but he is quick to ridicule Bobi Wine and his party National Unity Platform. Muhoozi, a general in the army, has vowed never to allow Bobi Wine to become president.
The intention is obvious: to attract the attention of those you would not; make yourself what you’re not & try to cause people to think of each other in ways they are not!
Bottomline is we’re United to end gun-rule & have TRANSITION to people-rule!
Transition NOT succession! 🟥 https://t.co/64b4gBqjnp— Kifefe Kizza-Besigye (@kizzabesigye1) October 19, 2022

But going by Besigye’s response, this antagonization won’t happen because the people Muhoozi want to separate are united by the desire to end something that he holds dear – the leadership and presidency of Uganda.
