Bugoigo Leopards, Uganda Martyrs Women win TotalEnergies Football Mini League
The winners were awarded Shs4 million and a trophy, the second team was given Shs2 million while the third was given Shs500, 000.

Bugoigo Leopards and Uganda Martyrs Women FC are the winners of the TotalEnergies Football Mini League 2023 for Buliisa district. The mini-league finale was held over the weekend.
Uganda Martyrs Women FC won the women’s trophy after defeating Nyamukuta Women FC in the finals that were played at Ndandamire playground in Buliisa Town Council.
For the men’s league, Bugoigo Leopards beat Para Simba 2-0 to win the trophy thanks to Charles Adongo and Ivan Adibango who scored the goals.
Patrick Kunihira, the chairperson of referees in Kitara region who represented the Kitara FUFA delegate commended TotalEnergies for uplifting the standards of football in Buliisa.
Allan Atugonza, the Buliisa County MP, who was the chief guest and Norah Bigirwa, the Buliisa district Woman MP thanked TotalEnergies for harnessing talent.
Caroline Namyalo, the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at TotalEnergies noted that this year’s mini-league attracted 96 football teams from all sub-counties in Buliisa district.
She has stated that for the last ten years, they have been organizing this mini-league. She added that many young talents have been spotted by big clubs in the country.
26 teams out of 96 teams were women’s teams competing for the first time. The annual mini-league was organized in partnership with FUFA and Buliisa district football association.
