Cultural Head Of Kigulu Chiefdom, Brother To Kyabazinga, Dies
Sources say Gologolo has been battling cancer. "The Chief of Kigulu was in critical health last week and was abandoned to fight for his own life at his home in Iganga," one Musubo Bruno posted on Busoga Twegaite, a Facebook platform.
Busoga kingdom is mourning the death of His Royal Patrick Izimba Gologolo Ngobi, the cultural head of Kigulu chiefdom, which occurred Friday morning. Gologolo is one of the 11 principalities that form Obwa Kyabazinga Bwa Busoga.
The Katuukwiro (Prime Minister) of Obwa Kyabazinga Bwa Busoga (Busoga Kingdom) Owek. Joseph Muvawala officially communicated the death of Gologolo but didn’t give further details.
“With profound sorrow and regret, I announce the untimely death of His Royal Highness Gologolo Izimba (Ngobi of Kigulu) that occurred this morning,” Owek. Muvawala said in a brief obituary.
He said the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV has delegated the 1st Deputy Katuukwiro Owek. Lubega Muhammed to oversee burial arrangements.
