FDC Youth Walk To Luzira To Visit Besigye

Dr. Besigye, who has in the past two posed the strongest opposition to the rule of President Yoweri Museveni, has in the past months been in and out of prison for protesting the runaway commodity and fuel prices.

An unspecified number of youths belonging to the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) have in the spirit of solidarity decided to walk to Luzira Prison to pay a courtesy visit to incarcerated Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye.

“With the fuel prices hitting high and a litter of petrol going for as high as UGX 6,500, our youth activists around Kampala have resolved to walk to Luzira prison to pay a visit to our founding president Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye,” FDC said.

At a press conference held at the FDC Kampala office at City House, the youth demanded the release of Dr. Besigye. They also called oppressed Ugandans to rise and reclaim back their country.

Dr. Besigye, who has in the past two posed the strongest opposition to the rule of President Yoweri Museveni, has in the past months been in and out of prison for protesting the runaway commodity and fuel prices.

He faults government for not intervening and letting citizens bear the brunt the economic hardships unprotected.
