FUFA appoint Morley Byekwaso to lead interim Cranes coaching team

The Federation fired Milutin 'Micho' Sredojević following Uganda Cranes failure to qualify for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has named a Technical Team of four people for an interim period of one month running from 3rd -31st October 2023. The team will be in charge of Uganda Cranes, the senior national football team.

The four people are: Morley Byekwaso Ochama – Interim Head Coach, Fred Muhumuza – Interim Assistant Coach, Stephen Billy Kiggundu – Interim Goalkeeping Coach and Felix Ayobo – Interim Fitness Coach.

The Federation said the quartet will take charge of Uganda Cranes during the international break this month where the team will play two games against Mali on 13th October in Bamako and Zambia in Dubai, UAE on 17th October 2023.

Uganda Cranes squad for the two international games will also be named today by the interim technical team.
