Kapeeka gun attacker weirdly dies in police custody

During the attack, some of the assailants identified as Denis Ssekimpi, 50, a resident of Namusera in Wakiso and Tarsis Mulegera, a Burundian national were gunned down.

Reports coming in from Tororo district, Eastern Uganda, indicate that a man suspected to have participated in the gun attack that left a soldier and two police officers on night patrol dead in Kapeeka, Luwero district has died in police custody.

Sources tell TrumpetNews that security launched a hunt for the criminals and Muwonge alias Salongo was intercepted as he fled to Burundi on a bus.

A Police official who preferred anonymity told TrumpetNews that after the arrest of Salongo, he was transferred to Eastern Uganda following his confession that his group was hiding guns in Mbale and other neighbouring towns.
