KCCA fails to use Shs13bn meant for recruitment of health workers, teachers
Kampala Capital City Authority officials were appearing before COSASE to answer queries raised in the Auditor General’s Value for Money Audit report.
Parliament has learnt that Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) failed to utilize Shs13.6 billion meant for recruiting health workers and teachers in Kampala and returned it to the consolidated fund.
Appearing before the Parliamentary Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE), KCCA officials led by Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka, said the money was returned to the treasury because of the increment of salaries for health workers and teachers.
