Kusasira eyes senior government role after graduating in International Relations
The singer says her academic journey at Nkumba University has prepared her for national service
Singer and presidential advisor Catherine Kusasira has announced that she is seeking a senior government position after completing her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy at Nkumba University.
Kusasira, who has previously served in the Office of the President, said the qualification has strengthened her ambition to contribute more formally to public service.
She noted that her experience as an artist, mobiliser, and now a graduate gives her “a deeper understanding of leadership, diplomacy, and national issues.”
While she did not reveal the specific office she is targeting, Kusasira emphasised that she is prepared to take on a role that allows her to support government programs and engage communities more effectively.
