Minister Bahati mourns 13-year girl gang raped
Police said four men have so far been arrested and being held as suspects as investigation go on.
The Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, David Bahati, on Wednesday paid respect to the late Glorious Akampurira who died of gang rape at the deceased’s home in Kyarugondo, Kasheregyenyi parish, Kamuganguzi subcounty, Kabale district.
Talking to leaders and residents, the minister said that the law shall have to take its course on the culprits. He promised residents that security shall even be reinforced in such areas.
According to Elly matte, the Kigezi Police spokesperson, the 13-year-old girl was gang raped and died at Kabale regional referral hospital moments after she was admitted following an attack on her at Nyakasharara trading center in Kamuganguzi Sub County.
