Nabakooba orders arrest of suspected land grabber

The Minister said Kakembo is suspected to have taken over seven acres of land from St Stevens Parish Church of Uganda.

The Minister for lands , housing and urban development, Judith Nabakooba Friday ordered for the arrested of Moses Kakembo, a suspected land grabber.

The Minister said Kakembo is suspected to have taken over seven acres of land from St Stevens Parish Church of Uganda at Mpigi cell, Busoke parish, Busiika Town Council, Luweero district.

 

More arrests of unknown people terrorizing residents of Manyama village, Zirobwe sub county have been ordered, the Minister revealed.

Adding: “I also directed Bibanja holders on Ngabwa Ruta’s land to go back and resume farming works. These matters are now being handled seriously.”

Land grabbing by wealth individuals across the country is a very common. These land grabbers target vulnerable people like orphans, the elderly and widows.
