Paul Musoke died after succumbing to severe injuries sustained in a suspected arson attack last week in which he was reportedly trapped inside his house, and it was set ablaze.

According to a statement shared by his colleagues, Musoke was locked inside his house, with the door allegedly nailing shut before the building was set on fire while he was asleep. He was rescued and rushed to Kiruddu Hospital, where he spent several days receiving treatment before his death.

The National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya visited Kiruddu Hospital following the sad news and mourned Musoke as a comrade.

Friends and colleagues described him as a brave person, expressing hope that those responsible for the attack would be brought to justice.

Musoke was remembered by supporters for his role during the campaign period, where he was among people seen serving as part of security detail for NUP leader Bobi Wine.

May his soul rest in peace.
