Police sheltering girl battered by friends for stealing boyfriend

A nasty video showing about three females and a male ganging up and beating a friend accusing her of stealing a boyfriend went viral on social media on Monday, 9th January 2023.

Many people called on the police to investigate the matter and indeed the police responded. Last night, Luke Oweyesigire, the Deputy Police Spokesperson, Kampala Metropolitan Area, said Kawempe Police Division was in touch with the victim and suspects have been identified pending arrest.
He said revealed that the incident had taken place in one of the rentals in Kira Municipality. And this morning, Oweyesigire said Kawempe Police had given shelter to Nicole after she had shown signs of escaping from her mother.
