Tirupati family announces death of their mother
The mother of Harshad Barot, the proprietor of Tirupati Development (U) Limited, a real estate and construction company has passed away.
Death has visited the family of Harshad Barot, the proprietor of Tirupati Development (U) Limited, and claimed the life of his mother Leelaben Maganbhai Barot (Leela Barot).
“Mother of Shri Harshadbhai Maganllal Barot has left this material body and departed for heavenly abode. Tirupati Family is grieved by the loss of their beloved mother. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” the family said in a death announcement.
Leela Barot was the inspiration for the family to start Leela Foundation, an NGO that supports old and vulnerable people in the country. Juhi Barot, the deceased’s granddaughter leads the philanthropic organization.
Leela Foundation recently donated food and medical supplies to families in famine-stricken Karamoja. The NGO also made a donation to families in Mbale when the area was hit by floods.
The NGO has cared for elderly persons (who they passionately refer to as jjajas) in Kampala slums earning the praise of the third Prime Minister Rukia Nakadama.
