Who Is Yogi Birigwa, Airlink’s New General Sales Agent In Uganda
Airlink is a privately-owned, premier regional airline, serving more than 45 destinations across 13 countries throughout Africa and St Helena Island.
Owned by Yogi Biriggwa, Natures Green Tours and Travel Limited has been announced as Airlink’s new General Sales Agent in Uganda.
The appointment was announced by Carla da Silva, the company’s Executive Sales and Marketing Manager.
Born Yewagnesh Mamo Yogi, the wife to Ambassador Wasswa Birigwa, built an industrious career in the aviation and tourism industries for more than 20 years.
Better known as Yogi, she runs Nature’s Green Resort on the shorelines of Lake Victoria.
She started her career in the aviation industry in the early 2000s as a general manager at United Airlines and held the position for five years.
She has also served as South African Airways regional manager for Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia, from 2005 to 2020.
In September 2020, Yogi was among 9 officials appointed and approved by cabinet as members of Uganda Tourism Board’s Board of Directors. This was her second term in office.
Ms Yogi holds a Bachelors of Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Management, IATA Diploma amongst others. Yogi, as she is better known in the Tourism and Aviation Industry brings forth an array of experiences.
