Zulitums claims Juliana Kanyomozi backed out of planned “Gwegula” collaboration
Veteran singer alleges the project stalled due to Juliana’s strict conditions; Lynda Ddane appears on the released single.

Ugandan musician Zulitums has stirred conversation by revealing that his song “Gwegula” was originally intended as a collaboration with renowned artist Juliana Kanyomozi – but that plan allegedly fell apart after Juliana reportedly backed out of the deal.
In a candid video shared on his Facebook page, Zulitums claims that there was “initial excitement” when they first discussed the collaboration. However, he said things went cold when Juliana allegedly “ghosted” the arrangement and did not follow through.
Zulitums’s latest single Gwegula, which was officially released on streaming platforms, features Lynda Ddane – not Juliana. The music video for Gwegula also showcases Lynda Ddane alongside Zulitums.
According to music outlets, the single has been available since at least April 2024.
Meanwhile, there has been no public comment from Juliana Kanyomozi or her management about Zulitums’ claims. Juliana, a celebrated Ugandan singer and actress, has not confirmed or denied the reported fallout in interviews or on her public platforms.
For now, the Gwegula version that fans know and stream is the one with Lynda Ddane – leaving the collaboration with Juliana a story of what might have been.
