The Uganda Examinations Board launches corporate profile to enhance public awareness and service delivery
The corporate profile was developed in line with the UNEB Act, Cap 259, the Education Act 2008, the UNEB Strategic Plan 2020/21–2024/25, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has launched its Corporate Profile alongside the Client Service Charter as part of efforts to improve information sharing, increase awareness of its services and strengthen engagement with stakeholders.
The Corporate Profile was developed in line with the UNEB Act, Cap 259, the Education Act 2008, the UNEB Strategic Plan 2020/21–2024/25, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
The publication provides an overview of UNEB’s activities, historical background, legal framework, mandate, statutory functions, management structure, resources and the range of services offered by the Board.
UNEB said the profile will serve as a key reference document for clients by providing guidance on accessing services such as candidate registration, accreditation of examination and storage centres, appointment of examination personnel, verification of results and equating of qualifications from other examination bodies.
It also outlines requirements and procedures for individuals seeking to work with the Board as examiners, scorers, scouts and invigilators.
For candidates sitting the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE), the profile highlights registration requirements, release of results, and issuance of result slips and certificates.
UNEB reaffirmed its commitment to delivering services with accountability, confidentiality, professionalism and innovation as it continues to fulfil its mandate of managing national examinations in Uganda.
