Mother Majeri Primary School receives environmental Gold Award for conservation efforts

Mother Majeri Primary School has been recognized for its outstanding contribution to environmental conservation after receiving the prestigious Environment Gold Award.
The award was presented during a ceremony attended by Hon. Simon Mulongo, Minister of State for Gender, Labour and Social Development, and Hon. Shafiga Wanyenya, Vice Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Climate Change, alongside other guests.
The officials commended the school’s learners for taking an active role in combating climate change through practical environmental conservation activities.
They noted that empowering young people with environmental awareness and conservation skills is key to building a greener and more sustainable Uganda.
The recognition highlights the importance of involving schools and communities in protecting the environment and promoting responsible actions for future generations.
