The Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (ASFAs), Africa’s premier fashion platform, have officially announced the highly anticipated model casting dates for their 2025 edition.
In a groundbreaking move set to redefine career trajectories for African models, the casting, in collaboration with Joram Model Management (JMM), will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at MotivBugolobi.
This year’s casting holds unprecedented significance, as Naomi Campbell’s prestigious agency, Women Management, has expressed keen interest in scouting talent directly from the ASFAs model search.
This marks a historic moment for the African fashion industry, offering aspiring models a direct gateway to global recognition.
Joram Muzira, the visionary founder of Joram Model Management, emphasized the monumental scale of this opportunity. “This is an extraordinary opportunity for models in Uganda and across Africa,” Muzira shared at the official press conference held at Nzou Media Hub.
“Not only will they earn the chance to walk the ASFAs runway, but they could also be scouted by one of the world’s most prestigious agencies. This is more than just casting – it is a gateway to global recognition.”
Brian Ahumuza, the founder of the ASFAs, lauded JMM for their strategic partnership, which has significantly elevated the stakes of this year’s casting.
“The ASFAs have always been about discovering and celebrating talent, but this year, we are opening doors to the world,” Ahumuza stated. “I encourage every aspiring model to show up on November 9th. This could be the beginning of a remarkable journey.”
Echoing the awards’ overarching theme for this year, “The Fashivist,” Solomon W. Muleyi, Creative Director at Adris Digital Africa—the official organizers of the ASFAs—highlighted the event’s broader cultural impact.
“We are redefining fashion as a form of activism, a powerful voice for change,” Muleyi explained. “By auditioning, models are not just walking towards stardom; they are stepping into a movement that is bigger than us all.”
Now in its 12th edition, the ASFAs continue to stand as a beacon for African creativity, talent, and innovation. This year’s awards will not only celebrate groundbreaking designs and talent but also channel fashion as a potent force for activism—championing vital causes, sparking crucial conversations, and inspiring transformative change across the continent.
With the unprecedented involvement of Women Management, the ASFAs 2025 model casting promises to be a pivotal event, signaling a new era of international visibility and opportunity for African models. It is an audition, a discovery, and an invitation to be part of a legacy that transcends borders.
