“Black Adam” tops North American box office for 2nd straight weekend

Warner Bros. Pictures’ superhero film “Black Adam” took the top spot once again at the North American box office with an estimated three-day cume of 27.7 million U.S. dollars, data from the measurement firm Comscore showed on Sunday.
“Black Adam” tallied 67 million dollars last weekend in its debut. The film has grossed 111.1 million dollars in North America for a global cume of 250 million dollars so far.
Based on the DC Comics character of the same name, “Black Adam” is a spin-off from 2019’s “Shazam!” and the 11th film in the DC Extended Universe.
Universal’s comedy “Ticket To Paradise” came in second this weekend in North America, raking in 10 million dollars.
Rounding out the top three, Lionsgate’s horror film “Prey for the Devil” took in 7.02 million dollars on its opening weekend. There are four horror films in the top 10 during this Halloween weekend.
