BoU chief tours oil fields
While touring the Tilenga Project, the officials visited the Ngiri 2 wellpad and the livelihood restoration programs.
The Governor Bank of Uganda, Michael Atingi-Ego, spent much of the weekend touring the oil fields in the Albertine Graben to gauge the progress of the development phase of the country’s hydrocarbons.
A field tour was organized by the Petroleum Authority Uganda (PAU) between 29 September and 1 October 2023.
Atingi-Ego together with in the company of the Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Uganda, Ann Jjuko, the Executive Director of PAU, Ernest Rubondo, and officials of CNOOC Uganda and Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC).
The visit began on Friday with a visit to Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba (UPIK) where the delegation was received by the Principal of the Institute, Bernard Ongodia.
On Saturday, the delegation was in the Kingfisher project operated by CNOOC Uganda and Kabalega Industrial Park operated by UNOC. On Sunday, the team visited the Tilenga project operated by ToralEnergies.
