A wave of immense joy and celebration has swept across the Busoga Kingdom and the nation of Uganda following the monumental announcement from the Royal Court. Their Royal Majesties, the Isebantu Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV, and the Inhebantu of Busoga, Jovia Mutesi, have been blessed with the safe arrival of twin royal princes.
The royal heirs, born on Tuesday, August 27, 2025, have been named Omulangira William Ethan Nadiope and Omulangira Arnold Eli Nadiope. According to an official statement from the Royal Court, the newborn princes, their mother, and the Kyabazinga are all in excellent health and spirits.
The birth marks a historic moment for the kingdom, signifying a double portion of divine blessing and the assured continuation of the noble Nadiope lineage. The statement expressed that the entire Royal Family is “overwhelmed with joy and deeply thankful.”
The royal twins enter a legacy steeped in history. They are the cherished sons of the reigning Kyabazinga, the grandsons of the late Professor Arnold Wilson Nadiope, and the great-grandsons of the late Sir William Wilberforce Nadiope III. Their lineage is deeply rooted in the region’s history, tracing back through generations of royalty to the founding figure of Nadiope I, the great grandson of Omukama Nyamutukura son of Omukama Wunyi of Bunyoro.
An official statement issued by Eng. Patrick Batumbya, Chairman of the Royal Wedding Committee, and Prince Henry M. Woira, extended profound gratitude on behalf of the Royal Court. Special appreciation was conveyed to the families of Dhadha Stanley Bayole of Bunha, Mayuge District, and the Dhadha Mpata family for their unwavering love and support.
The statement also thanked the people of Busoga, all Ugandans, and global well-wishers for their prayers. In a special acknowledgement, credit was given to the enduring peace and stability in Uganda under the leadership of His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, which provides a conducive environment for such cherished cultural milestones.
