Chief Muzzukulu urges Ugandans to embrace peaceful LC1 elections

Speaking at the ONC headquarters in Kyambogo, Hajjat Namyalo encouraged voters to choose leaders committed to development, accountability, unity, and service delivery at the grassroots.

The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, popularly known as Chief Muzzukulu, has called on Ugandans, especially the youth, to participate peacefully in the upcoming LC1 elections scheduled for July 28, 2026.

Speaking at the ONC headquarters in Kyambogo, Hajjat Namyalo encouraged voters to choose leaders committed to development, accountability, unity, and service delivery at the grassroots.

She described LC1 chairpersons as the “presidents of villages,” highlighting their role in coordinating government programmes, addressing community concerns, and promoting security and development.

Hajjat Namyalo urged voters to arrive early at polling stations and warned against intimidation and imposing candidates, saying leaders should be chosen through the free will of the people.

She added that ONC district and regional coordinators have been deployed across the country to mobilise citizens and monitor NRM candidates while respecting the electoral process.

She called on Ugandans to vote wisely for leaders who will effectively serve their communities for the next five years.
