David Lutalo’s Babongoote concert cancelled due to NAM, G77+ summits’ interference
The concert was scheduled for January 27,2024 at Serena Hotel, Kampala.
With just two days left, artiste David Lutalo’s Tubongoote concert has been cancelled this website has learnt.
The concert was scheduled for January 27,2024 at Serena Hotel, Kampala.
According to a statement released by Lutalo’s management, the concert was cancelled due to the NAM and G77+ China Third South Summit that have been taking place in the country.
“It has come to our notice that the international delegates who attended the above mentioned conferences are still using the hotel premises, making it hard for the organisers to satisfactorily deliver a noteworthy music concert,” the statement reads.
Now after unanimity with Serena Hotel, the concert has been postponed to November 8, 2024 after unanimity with the hotel “and we are grateful for their cooperation,” the statement reads further.
It should be noted that with just two days left for the much anticipated UB40 feat Ali Campbell concert organised by Next Media to happen, the show was also postponed until further notice.
The concert was supposed to happen on December 21, 2023 at Kololo Independence grounds just a day after 1st Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga will launch her book titled “The Path Way to Greatness” at the same venue.
