Deadly explosives found on roadside of city suburb
The bomb scare comes at a time the country is experiencing high profile murders by gun shooting.
Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) is dealing with a bomb situation in Nabweru, Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye, the army spokesperson has tweeted.
“Explosives found in Nabweru on the road to Kazo. These were to be used today in the city by those planning to paint it red,” he said in a tweet that didn’t have pictorial evidence.
Brig Gen Kulayigye also invited media to ‘go and see for themselves.’

The bomb scare comes at a time the country is experiencing high profile murders by gun shooting.
The killing of blogger Isma Olaxes by yet to identified gunmen cames days after labour minister Col (rtd) Charles Engola had been killed by his bodyguard Pte Wilson Sabiiti.
Police is yet to comment on the bomb scare announced by the army spokesperson.
