The Honorary Consul of Uganda to Mumbai in India, Madhusudan Agrawal, is impressed with what the government of Uganda has invested at the Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) and what the health facility has been able to achieve.
Agrawal was recently touring the Uganda Cancer Institute with former Prime Minister of Uganda Ruhakana Rugunda. The visit to the UCI was to assess the work done by the donated Mammogram Van which was donated to the Institute in 2019 by the Indian Consul.
The Indian envoy promised to provide another that will work on the neck, head and chest in the fight against all cancers hence providing access to screening from all places. The mobile cancer screening van that will focus on head and neck is set to arrive within two months’ time.
