Entitled Muhoozi thinks Uganda is something to gift his mother Janet Museveni

While it is his constitutional right to aspire to become president of Uganda, many political commentators believe that Muhoozi is going about it wrongly since he is still a serving officer of the army.

Many times, mothers are an embodiment of love, and truly, nothing beats a mother’s love. And when a mother loves her child right, that child feels indebted to repay the woman who birthed him or her.

Repaying your mother for birthing you and loving you is a gesture that is thoughtful and commendable. Reciprocating this love is natural and comes without asking.

While it is hard to equate the love your mother gives you because this love is usually immeasurable, we tend to offer a befitting and affordable gift – one that is within our reach.

And to his wisdom, 48-year-old First Son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, believes the gift he can offer to repay his mother, First Lady Janet Museveni, is to become president of Uganda.

Like he always does, Muhoozi took to Twitter Thursday afternoon to express his undying love for his mother and the determination he has to repay her.

Muhoozi’s assertions tell the undying liking and love the Museveni family attaches to being and living in the State House and being in power; ruling and controlling Uganda.

It will be 40 years of Janet Museveni serving Uganda as the First Lady and living in the State House when his husband’s term in office comes to end in 2026.

It is not yet known if President Museveni will seek re-election but the pressure is mounting on him to let his son Muhoozi take over – how this will happen, Ugandans can only guess.

In the recent past, Muhoozi has subtly hinted at his desire and ambition of leading Uganda as president but in today’s tweet, he affirms with confidence he will one day become president, if not to serve and lead Uganda but at least to appease his mother.
