Entrepreneurs to explore AI-driven trends at 7th Business Trendsetters’ Forum and Awards Gala-2026
Beyond keynote discussions, the event will feature a Trends Expo showcasing innovative products, services and business solutions from various sectors of the economy from health to legal.
Chief executive officers, business leaders, entrepreneurs with innovative minds across Uganda are expected to converge at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel on July 29 for the 7th Business Trendsetters’ Forum, Trends Expo and Awards Gala- 2026, an annual event aimed at shaping the future of business transformation and innovation.
Organised by the Business Trendsetters’ Forum, the event which will begin at 8:00 a.m bringing together business gurus from the public and private sectors to discuss emerging trends will also have outstanding achievers such as Ms. Mercy Kainebwisho of URSB, Bank of Uganda governor Dr.i Micheal Atingi Ego, and Cultural Philantropists The Ganda Boyz among others converge to synergize and create new partnerships.
This year’s forum is under the theme is: People, Purpose and Artificial Intelligence in Business.

The theme reflects the growing influence of artificial intelligence on corporate leadership, organizational culture and business strategy.
The theme marks the latest evolution of discussions that have defined the forum since its inception, with previous editions focusing on topics ranging from “Planning for Profitability” in 2020 to “AI + ESG” in 2025.
The main Organiser and vision bearer Ms. Yvonne Mpanga says; the 2026 forum will examine how business leaders can harness artificial intelligence while maintaining ethical leadership, human-centred decision-making and sustainable business practices.
Beyond keynote discussions, the event will feature a Trends Expo showcasing innovative products, services and business solutions from various sectors of the economy from health to legal.
The forum will also host an Awards Gala celebrating individuals from organisations that have demonstrated excellence, innovation and leadership in transforming Uganda’s business landscape.
Participants will have opportunities to build strategic business-to-business (B2B) networks, explore emerging market opportunities and exchange ideas on navigating an increasingly technology-driven economy.
Speaking ahead of the event, Business Trendsetters’ Forum founder Yvonne Mpanga urged business leaders to take advantage of the platform.

She said the forum has become one of Uganda’s leading platforms for identifying and recognising trendsetters, celebrating excellence and fostering partnerships that drive business growth and societall impact.
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries worldwide, this year’s gathering is expected to provide valuable insights into how organisations can embrace technological transformation while ensuring people remain at the centre of leadership and sustainable growth.
Pacesetters like Victoria University’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. Lawerence Muganga, Prof J.W Balumywa of The leadership Leadership Academy, PPDA’s Canon Benson Turamye are among those expected to grace the day.
