Faras Uganda crowned East Africa’s most reliable ride-hailing service provider

The 5th annual East Africa Quality Brands Awards recognized several companies across East Africa for their outstanding contributions to economic growth, innovation, and adherence to high quality standards.

Faras Uganda, a fast-growing ride-hailing services provider, has secured a major regional accolade, winning the Quality Excellence Award for the Most Reliable Ride Hailing Service Provider in East Africa.

The award was presented to the company at the prestigious 5th East Africa Quality Brands Awards (EABQA), held recently at the Golf Course Hotel in Kampala, recognizing Faras Uganda’s commitment to quality service delivery and customer satisfaction across the region.

Mudhafar Hamad Kasaija, the General Manager of Faras Uganda, hailed the win as a definitive validation of the company’s service standards.

“We promised our customers the best and we are delivering just that. It is a good feeling that we are delivering as we committed,” Kasaija stated. “This award shows that the people who use our services and technology are happy.”

Kasaija further stressed the company’s dedication to future growth and technological advancement, promising continued innovation in the competitive ride-hailing market.

“We further promise to innovate and improve our services and move with the times. At Faras Uganda, we want to assure our customers that we are coming up with improved technology to give the users of our ride hailing app a new user experience,” he added.

Celebrating Quality and Innovation

The 5th annual East Africa Quality Brands Awards recognized several companies across East Africa for their outstanding contributions to economic growth, innovation, and adherence to high quality standards.

This year’s edition ran under the theme, “Global Visionaries and Pioneers — Revolutionising Quality Through Sustainable Innovation.” Winners, including Faras Uganda, were granted a Quality Mark, which organizers noted is intended to enhance their competitiveness in African and international markets.

Patrick Nsubuga, Brand Ambassador of the East Africa Quality Brands Awards, emphasized that the initiative serves as a crucial platform to celebrate sustainable, ethical, and innovative practices that continue to shape regional economic transformation.

“At the heart of this celebration is trade—more than just the exchange of goods and services. It’s a powerful tool for achieving the United Nations’ sustainable development goals, ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring peace and prosperity for all,” Nsubuga said.

The EABQA is dedicated to recognizing brands that consistently deliver a high level of leadership, products, and service while keeping the customers’ best interests in mind.

Uniquely, the awards organization determines excellence through a statistically comprehensive and objective independent market research survey. This survey assesses brand reputation, job creation, customer satisfaction, and business excellence in relation to the quality of service, value, professionalism, and integrity offered by companies operating in the region.
