Fire guts Kisubi Girls Primary School dormitory
Territorial Police at Entebbe is investigating a fire outbreak that occurred today, October 25, 2023, at Kisubi Girls Primary School.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, the incident was reported to authorities at approximately 8 am and is believed to have initiated in the Primary Four Dormitory.
“Swift response from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Services prevented the fire from spreading further, successfully extinguishing it,” he said in a statement.
He revealed that there are no injuries or loss of life recorded, as all pupils had safely evacuated the dormitory before the fire ignited.
“Regrettably, all items within the dormitory were lost in the blaze,” he said.
Owoyesigyire further noted that the exact cause of this fire remains unknown.
“Our dedicated team of investigators is diligently working to uncover the circumstances leading to this incident. We are committed to establishing the precise cause and ensuring the safety and security of our educational institutions,” he stated.
