Government To Increase Salary For All Civil Servants – Public Service Minister Mugasa
The ministers reassuring words come at a time when government is grappling with salary increment demands from teachers and health workers.
The minister state for public service Grace Mary Mugasa has reassured Ugandans that government will increase the salary scale for all civil servants in the country.
The minister was speaking to journalists on Thursday evening after the launch of Parish Development Model in Masindi District at the Country Inn Hotel.
“The government is committed to increasing the salary for all civil servants in the country, and this will be done in different financial years,’’ she said explaining the increment will be done in different finance years. .
She further said that once the salary scale has been increased, they will not sit aside and watch but supervise the civil servants. She also asserted that the poor performing civil servants will be scrapped off the salary.

The Masindi district LCV Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga said that the civil servants get low payment which can’t sustain them therefore asked for salary increment.
