Kyabazinga pledges to support American church after successes at New Life Academy in Buyende
The Kyabazinga's commitment to supporting Radford Baptist Church’s work signals a strong partnership aimed at continued development and empowerment within the Busoga Kingdom.

The Kyabazinga of the Busoga Kingdom, His Royal Highness (HRH) William Wilberforce Nadiope Gabula IV, has pledged his unwavering support for the impactful work of Radford Baptist Church from the US in Buwaidha village, Buyende district. This commitment was made during a courtesy visit by a delegation from Radford Baptist Church to the Kyabazinga’s palace in Igenge, Jinja City, on June 11th, 2025.
The Kyabazinga expressed his profound appreciation for the church’s transformative initiatives in Buyende, which are being carried out in partnership with New Life Ministries. These projects, focused on education, healthcare, and spiritual development, are creating a significant positive impact on the Buwaidha community.
“We are happy that you are helping us to shape the different communities in Buwaidha,” the Kyabazinga stated. “We hope that more people shall come. Through religion, you have constructed a church that is growing. We know that through being God-fearing, our people shall be morally upright.” He further added, “I get the feedback. They are seeing a lot of new development.”
Radford Baptist Church and New Life Ministries have established a strong foundation for education and spiritual growth in Buwaidha. Their collaboration has resulted in the construction of a church and a school, New Life Academy, which now provides quality pre-primary education to nearly 200 children.
Eng. Gerald Isabirye, a director of New Life Academy, highlighted the academy’s impact on increasing access to education in the region. “Initially, we faced the challenge of low school attendance in the area,” he explained. “But now, the children in Buwaidha and the neighboring villages come to this school.” This demonstrates the success of the academy in engaging the community and fostering a love for learning.
Stephanie Von Rosenberg, the Team Leader of the Radford Baptist Church delegation, outlined the multifaceted support they have provided to the people of Buwaidha over the past four years. Their efforts extend beyond gospel outreach and education to include the establishment of annual health camps offering crucial medical services. These camps address prevalent health issues and contribute to improved health outcomes within the community.
This year’s health camp, held on June 10th, 2025, saw over 500 people receive medical attention from the Radford Baptist Church team. Von Rosenberg noted the progress made in addressing specific health challenges. “There was a red eyes pandemic; this year, it was under control. We had enough to solve that,” she explained, highlighting the effectiveness of their interventions.
The Kyabazinga’s commitment to supporting Radford Baptist Church’s work signals a strong partnership aimed at continued development and empowerment within the Busoga Kingdom.
By focusing on education, healthcare, and spiritual well-being, this collaboration promises to create brighter futures for the people of Buwaidha and beyond. The King’s endorsement will undoubtedly encourage further investment and participation, reinforcing the positive impact of these vital community initiatives.
