The minister of education and sports Janet Museveni has announced the official release of the 2021 Grade III Teachers’ Certificate in Primary Teachers Education Examination results.
She said: “With this release, we celebrate a unique cohort of 5,576 Grade Three teachers who took their end-of-cycle exams in December 2022.
“These teachers faced educational disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and represent the last group admitted after S.4 in 2019, before the introduction of the National Teacher Policy.
“The results reveal a positive performance, with a notable pass rate of over 97% in most subjects. The exams, which were initially scheduled for December 2021, were delayed due to the pandemic.
“I’d like to express my gratitude to Kyambogo University for their unwavering support to the Primary Teacher Education Program since 1989. They will closely collaborate with the Uganda National Institute of Teacher Education (UNITE) and the National Teacher Council to ensure a smooth transition following the new teacher reforms.”
