President Yoweri Museveni Wednesday officiated at the closing ceremony of the National Scouts Camp at the Kaazi camping site in Wakiso District.
While interacting with the scouts and their leaders, the president was made aware of probably the youngest scout Uganda has ever produced – 17 months old scout Ssanyu Davina.
Museveni congratulated the scouts’ movement on a successful camp after the frustrations from the COVID-19 pandemic in the previous years.
“I am also happy to learn of Baby Scout Ssanyu Davina (17 months old) from Kamuli District, who took part in the camp,” the president who met Baby Scout Ssanyu Davina in the company of her minders said.
The president urged the scouts to put to use their survival character & attitude formation strengths to contextualize problems in their communities and help in solving them.
