Muhoozi decorated, hands over land forces commandership to Muhanga
General Muhoozi handed over to Lieutenant General Muhanga Kayanja as Commander of Land Forces.
President Yoweri Museveni’s son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, 48, has been duly decorated as a General in the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) Monday morning by his paternal uncle General Caleb Salim Saleh Akandwanaho at Bombo Military Barracks.
Gen Muhoozi’s wife and cousin, Charlotte Kainerugaba, was also seen pampering her husband, the First Son. Muhoozi stood gallantly as Gen Salim Saleh bestowed on him the highest military rank in the army at the moment.
General Muhoozi was recently promoted by his father from the rank of Lieutenant General much to the chagrin of Ugandans. His rise through the ranks has been debatable with many Ugandans questioning his capabilities.
Also, General Muhoozi handed over to Lieutenant General Muhanga Kayanja as Commander of Land Forces. Like Muhoozi, Muhanga was also promoted by President Museveni from the rank of Major General to Lieutenant General.
