Museveni promotes, appoints infantry division commanders

Recently, the President also promoted 469 and confirmed 28 Senior and Junior officer ranks of the UPDF. These promotions come a few weeks after hundreds of senior UPDF officer officially retired.

The President and Commander in Chief of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF), Gen. Yoweri Museveni, has promoted and appointed two senior UPDF Officers, Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye has revealed.

The benefactors are Colonel Paul Muhanguzi who has been promoted to Brigadier General and appointed Second Infantry Division Second in Command and Colonel Peter Akankunda who has been promoted to Brigadier General and appointed First Infantry Division  Second in Command.

“The Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs and UPDF fraternity congratulate the Senior Officers upon their well-deserved promotions and appointments.” Brig Gen Kulayigye congratulated the officers.
