NRM caucus affirms party’s CEC decision on EALA MPs
In the Entebbe meeting, CEC maintained that Akol Rose Okullu, Kakooza James, Mugyenyi Mary, Musamali Paul Mwasa, Namara Dennis and Odongo George Stephen continue with their reign.
National Resistance Movement (NRM) Caucus, a formation of Members of Parliament belonging to the ruling political party, has this afternoon passed a resolution reached by the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) regarding the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) without any changes.
On the 8th of July 2022, a meeting chaired by the party’s chairperson Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, CEC resolved that the incumbent MPs be retained for another at the EAC parliament. The decision caused an uproar including a court case that the petitioners lost.

And today, the NRM MPs sitting at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds cemented the CEC decision unanimously.
