Police arrest 11 suspects over aggravated robbery, rape in Wakiso
around 4:00am when an assailant allegedly broke into a shop, attacked a female victim with a knife, robbed her of valuables and later raped her.
Police in Nsangi have arrested 11 suspects in connection with an aggravated robbery and rape incident that occurred in Nakirama Cell, Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso District.
The incident happened on 28th July 2026 at around 4:00am when an assailant allegedly broke into a shop, attacked a female victim with a knife, robbed her of valuables and later raped her.
Following the report, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Scene of Crime officers and the Police Canine Unit launched investigations. A sniffer dog, TP 297 Sofia, helped trace the suspect’s scent to a nearby bar where the suspects were found and arrested.
The suspects are currently detained at Kikajo Police Post as investigations continue to establish the identity of the main perpetrator and bring all those involved to justice.
