Baine, in a press statement, didn’t reveal why Otim killed Wardress Abwot Eunice, 25, and Warder Namanya Edward, 29. The three worked at the same station.
“The incident occurred at 0715 hours in the morning of Monday when WDR Otim Jacob signed a gun to go for general duties only to head to the Sentry where WDRSS Abwot Eunice was working and shot her dead, instantly,” Baine revealed.
“On hearing the sound of the gun, the second Sentry, WDR Namanya Edward came to establish the cause of the shooting, unfortunately, he was too shot dead by Otim,” he added.
Baine said after the shooting of the two dead, Otim tried to commit suicide but failed. “He was then subdued by other staff on duty and detained,” Baine further added. “Police was called in immediately, took over the crime scene, exhibits and the culprit for further management,” Baine explained.
