Ssemujju Nganda unhappy with M7 addressing MPs at Kololo

Ssemujju expressed concern and questioned why MPs have to go all the way to Kololo for the Presidential address yet they already have a big tent.

President Yoweri Museveni is set to address the Parliament of Uganda on issues of national importance at Kololo Independence Grounds on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 2 pm.

This hasn’t settled down well with the area Member of Parliament of Kira Municipality Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, especially with the choice of venue.

Taking to the floor of Parliament during Tuesday’s plenary sitting, Ssemujju, a witty legislator, expressed concern and questioned why MPs have to go all the way to Kololo for the Presidential address yet they already have a big tent.

Ssemujju was also bemused that MPs were attending plenary covered in blankets to shield themselves from the chilly weather caused by the midmorning rain.

“Madam Speaker, I know it has rained today but we cannot afford to have ministers come to Parliament with blankets – that’s a total violation of our rules,” Ssemujju exclaimed.
