Stanbic Bank kicks off ‘Kya Double with SupaDupa’ payouts, rewards customers for simple deposits and transactions
Designed to encourage deposits and regular use of banking platforms, the initiative is already transforming lives, with a remarkable UGX 100 million set to be given away by the end of December.

Stanbic Bank has begun to deliver on its promise of rewarding actively transacting clients, announcing the first batch of winners in its exciting ‘Kya Double with SupaDupa’ campaign. Designed to encourage deposits and regular use of banking platforms, the initiative is already transforming lives, with a remarkable UGX 100 million set to be given away by the end of December.
Among the first lucky beneficiaries is Akugizwe Annet Mbabazi, who received a life-changing UGX 1.2 million cheque. Expressing heartfelt gratitude, Mbabazi highlighted the campaign’s transparency and timely impact.
“I’ve seen others win in different campaigns, but I never believed it was real. Today, I see it’s true, and it couldn’t have come at a better time as I was struggling to pay my child’s school fees. Stanbic has truly answered my prayer,” she shared, her words echoing the immediate and personal impact of the prize.
Launched in June and running until the close of the year, the ‘Kya Double with SupaDupa’ campaign is designed to provide tangible benefits to the bank’s loyal customers. Sarah Nankumba, the Acacia branch manager, emphasized that the initiative perfectly aligns with Stanbic Bank’s core purpose: “Uganda is our home, and our growth is driven by supporting our people.”
Nankumba revealed that nearly UGX 25 million has already been disbursed to date, with millions more still available. She urged more Ugandans to participate by regularly transacting and depositing funds into their Stanbic accounts, reiterating that every active transaction increases a client’s chances of winning.
Facilitating easy access to these rewards, Nankumba reassured prospective clients that opening a Stanbic Bank account is now simpler than ever, requiring no branch visit. “Prospective customers can download the bank’s mobile app, scan the QR code on their website, or dial *290# to open an account at no cost, with minimal paperwork and activation in less than five minutes using only a National Identity Card,” she explained.
Israel Arinaitwe, Head of Personal Banking, further elaborated on the campaign’s foundation, stating that ‘Kya Double with SupaDupa’ was developed based on extensive customer feedback. This feedback highlighted a strong demand for banking that is quick, simple, and rewarding for regular depositors.
“The campaign eliminates the traditional barriers of queues and paperwork by offering a fully digital, paperless, and free account opening process that takes less than five minutes,” Arinaitwe added. “Customers can open a bank account via the Stanbic app, mobile banking, or online platforms, then instantly deposit, send, or receive funds making banking truly instant.”
Beyond the immediate rewards from the ‘Kya Double’ campaign, Stanbic Bank is also enhancing its broader service offerings. Arinaitwe announced improved credit facilities for customers, including instant loans of up to UGX 5 million available at any time, subject to eligibility. Furthermore, eligible clients can now access digital loans of up to UGX 250 million, with approvals potentially happening in a mere two minutes.
With UGX 75 million still up for grabs and a banking experience designed for convenience and reward, Stanbic Bank is inviting all Ugandans to embrace digital banking, deposit regularly, and stand a chance to double their joy with the ‘Kya Double with SupaDupa’ campaign.
