Standard Chartered and Innovation Village to give catalytic funding of upto $10,000 to Women in Tech
A three-year initiative to equip women-led start-ups with essential skills, financing, and networks to drive long-term impact.

Are you a woman in technology with a promising startup business? Then here’s the million-shilling question: Have you heard about the newly launched Standard Chartered Women in Tech program? If not, here’s everything you need to know and why you need to apply before registration closes.
Launched in partnership with Innovation Village, Village Capital, and Future Lab, the Women in Tech Uganda Accelerator is built to empower women-led, tech-enabled businesses with the right tools, capital, and networks to grow and thrive.
This program couldn’t have come at a better time. With women owning over 50% of MSMEs in Uganda—but still facing major hurdles like limited access to financing and digital tools—it’s time for a bold shift.
“This initiative aligns well with national development frameworks like Vision 2040 and the MSME Policy, all of which prioritize technology adoption, access to finance and entrepreneurship,” said Hon. Hellen Asamo, Minister of State for People with Disabilities. “We are committed to creating an enabling environment that drives inclusive economic growth—this partnership is a shining example of what collaborative action can achieve.”
What You’ll Gain If Selected:
•A 6-month business accelerator tailored for women tech-preneurs
•Access to catalytic funding of up to $10,000 for top-performing ventures
•Hands-on support in market validation, digital integration, and scaling
•Direct links to customers, partners, and global networks
•A powerful platform to amplify your voice and impact as a female founder
With just 20 spots available this year, the program kicks off in June 2025. If you’re a Ugandan woman innovator, this is your moment.
