Stop sectarianism and serve with integrity, Nankabirwa rallies Ugandans

Nankabirwa further noted that leading people with integrity of the heart is the only solution for the challenges faced in the world.

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Development Dr Ruth Nankabirwa has appealed to all leaders in Uganda to serve with integrity and transparency.

Nankabirwa made this call while presiding over the 3rd graduation ceremony at Uganda Martyrs Seminary Namugongo at Namugongo Church.

While addressing hundreds of graduands, Nankabirwa said that the government has put in place different directorates to help Ugandans have integrity in service delivery, but it’s very unfortunate that the country still has challenges of the integrity of the heart.

“President Museveni has created so many ministries including the Ministry of National Guidance, Internal Affairs, Ethics and Integrity, among others but it’s sad that Uganda still faces challenges of integrity” the worried minister noted.

Adding that: “We are seeing Churches being decentralized while almost every village in Uganda has more than one church but the challenges are becoming enormous, calling for the integrity of the heart,” added.

She further noted that leading people with integrity of the heart is the only solution for the challenges faced in the world.

“You need skilful hands when you deal with people. Sometimes leaders exhibit sectarianism and lack of sensitivity to issues concerning community” she added.

Meanwhile, the Bishop of Mityana Diocese Rev. Dr James Bukomeko who represented Rt Rev Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira the chairman governing council of Uganda Martyrs Seminary Namugongo also advised graduands not to do the opposite of GOD’s word.

“Today you are graduating but the big task ahead of you is to follow what Jesus is instructing you to do. Do not do the opposite of GOD’s Word. You are unlucky that your graduation has come at a time when the World is mixed up with false teaching like its okay for same-sex to get married, corruption is a choice and immorality is everywhere” the man of GOD noted adding that ” GOD has called you at a right time and season when you have been prepared and equipped and we send you to go out and defend the Gospel of Christ.”

Over 200 Graduands have been awarded certificates and Diplomas in several disciplines including Theology, Business Administration and Management, Guidance and counselling, Christian Ministries, Child Development and Children ministries among others. 55.35% are Female while 44.65%  are Male graduands.
