State minister for ICT and National Guidance Kabbyanga Godfrey Baluku, has told journalists that this year’s celebrations are in recognition of the sacrifice made by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
“We recognize the President as the leader of the Uganda Revolution together with his comrades whose vision and values became the bedrock of National peace, stability and prosperity,” he added.
According to Baluku, the choice for Mbarara sub-region as the main focus of the 42nd Tarehe Sita celebrations is particularly informed by the need to trace and link the current peace, security, stability and development.
Additionally, the celebrations will be linked to the earlier efforts in the struggle, particularly the anti-Amin Front for National Salvation (FRONASA), and document their contributions to the struggle to liberate this country.
