Ten ludo players are set for Africa championships in South Africa but could miss the tournament because of finances

The four-day tournament organized by Africa Ludo Federation (ALF) will be conducted from Saturday 24th to Wednesday 28th September, 2022 in Pretoria South Africa.

The technical and competitions committee of the Uganda Ludo Federation (ULF) has finalized a full list of ten players to represent Uganda at the forthcoming Africa Ludo Nations Individual Championship (AL-NIC), 2022.

The four-day tournament organized by Africa Ludo Federation (ALF) will be conducted from Saturday 24th to Wednesday 28th September, 2022 in Pretoria South Africa.

The list is as follows:

  1.  Nagaddya Beth from Nansana Galaxy club.
  2.  Nakamya Kurusum from Basajja Bayiiya club.
  3.  Nabwami Grace from Kisansa Kireka club.
  4.  Mugabi Peter from Ntinda United club.
  5.  Mayanja Henry from Nansana All stars club.
  6.  Matovu Huzaifa from Masaka Giants club.
  7.  Ssensanga Stephen from Kosovo club
  8.  Mubiru Emmanuel from Nansana Galaxy club.
  9.  Natuhweza Johnson from Ntinda United club.
  10. Mulondo Jimmy from Buyenda United club.
  11.  Nabuuma Teddy from Wakiso.

While preparations are under, the federation is struggling to raise the funds for the trip. “All preparations are under way but we are still challenged financially. We haven’t got any response from government through NCS despite submitting the budget requests in advance,” the ULF president Hussein Kalule said in a statement.
